The picture on the left is a house in my parents’ neighborhood. It burned in February of 2015. I would see it every time I went for a run, and it stayed like this for almost a year. Apparently, there were issues with the investigation and insurance companies and attorneys and so forth. It’s a new year and I have a new goal of using more often the gift of written communication that the Lord has given me. I’ve resisted in recent years for two primary reasons – the first being that I’ve simply been too busy. Keeping a non-profit flourishing in an non-flourishing economy takes every waking moment. Several months ago, I flew home to Louisiana to visit my parents. At some point, I was catching mom up on all the latest happenings at Restoration Place. At that time, I was in the process of interviewing for both a full-time Clinical Supervisor and Counselor position, as well as completing the up-fit and decorating of our recently added office space. Celebrating Masterpieces

Webster defines masterpiece as “a person’s greatest piece of work done with extraordinary skill, a consummate example of excellence.” Each woman who walks through the door at Restoration Place is considered to be a masterpiece. She may be broken by issues such as depression, abuse, or addiction. She may feel as if her life is a mess.
