Witnessing Renewal - Letters from the Founder of Restoration Place Counseling

10 Years Later…

It’s a new year and I have a new goal of using more often the gift of written communication that the Lord has given me. I’ve resisted in recent years for two primary reasons – the first being that I’ve simply been too busy. Keeping a non-profit flourishing in an non-flourishing economy takes every waking moment. Second, it sometimes feels a bit narcissistic to think anyone really cares about the ramblings in my head. But then I had the thought that it’s really not about me. On more than one occasion, women have shared how my transparency about life and… read more

A Lesson (Re) Learned in an Unlikely Place

*Disclaimer: This post is not supported or endorsed by Restoration Place Counseling or by any political candidate or committee. It is simply personal reflections of the author.   What do political campaigns and counseling ministries have in common? My Cup Runneth Over

December 12th, 2012 by Cindy - One Response

Without a doubt, it is a season of abundant blessings for this girl and the ministry she’s been entrusted with. Driving back from Research Triangle Park this evening–after a full day at GlaxoSmithKline where I proudly accepted the 2012 IMPACT Award (AND a $40,000 check!!) on behalf of Restoration Place–all I could think to say to the Lord was “You. Are. So. Good.” I was taken back in my mind to December 2004, the “eve” of my last semester in graduate school. I had just been told by a very dear friend that she and her husband had decided to… read more
